The Mary Robinson Centre is delighted to have been officially recognised as an Autism Friendly Champion! This certification highlights our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone. From thoughtful design to sensory-aware staff training, we strive to make every visit a positive and comfortable experience.

What This Means in Practice

To receive this accreditation, we:

  • have completed autism-friendly staff training
  • have developed a Social Story to help visitors prepare for their trip to the Centre with the help of Ballina Autism Friendly Town
  • are Service Dogs friendly
  • have created a Sensory Map of the Centre to support sensory needs
  • are committed to ongoing improvements in accessibility and inclusion by working with Ballina Autism Friendly Town
